Andrew Gibbs has dedicated his website the Dieline to the exteriors of all products as well as their creators. Its purpose is to define and promote the world’s best examples of packaging, and to provide a place where people can review, critique, be inspired and stay informed. The First Dieline Award Ceremony was held in Chicago. Out of an entry of 800 pieces an international jury awarded 10 third place, 10 second place, 10 first place, and best of show across 10 different sections. Boy Bastiaens received a 1st place winner award for his Atelier LaDurance, Promotional Japanese Denim Packaging. NYC based packaging, design, and architecture firm ESTABLISHED designed the metal Dieline trophy.

Dutch Design Award For the Promotional Japanese Denim Packaging 17 10 2009
The Dutch Design Awards are the prestigious prizes for the very best products across the full width of the professional field in the main categories of Communication, Product and Spatial. The selection committees select the finalists per sub-category from the total number of scouted work and online entries. The international jury ultimately decides who will appear on the stage. During the annual event on saturday October 17th. Boy Bastiaens was one of the 20 winners. As he received the Dutch Design Award for 'Best Packaging 2009'.
