Pica Magazine is an initiative of the students of UQAM School of Design, Montreal, Canada. For each edition of their annual publication they recruit designers to collaborate and experiment graphically on the magazine’s exploring theme. Boy Bastiaens was one of the foreign designers invited to participate in the Pica # 3 -Process- issue. Which was launched, together with a small exhibition of collaborators work, at the Centre de Design in Montreal, November 2nd.
Ana Jordá & Miquel Abellán of Barcelona based Instituto Monsa de Ediciones gathered an amazing selection of inventive stationary designs. Ranging from quite serious to free roaming. The projects reflect the essence of the kind of business for which they were created. And explain the philosophy behind the design. Great to announce that among the international contributions is the playful identity that Boy Bastiaens created for his own studio.
